A dedicated, upgraded parcel office is in progress to improve logistics handling and reduce crowding near the main station area.

4. Cover Over Platforms

Shelters are being installed over the platforms to protect passengers from weather conditions and improve overall platform usability.

5. Enhanced Platform Flooring

New, durable flooring is being laid on the platforms for a cleaner, safer, and more modern look.

Part of a Larger Effort in Odisha

Bargarh is just one of 57 stations in Odisha being modernized under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. Other stations include Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and more. The goal is to reduce congestion, improve aesthetics, and provide open spaces and better passenger services.
