The former Apple CEO has said that a company has emerged to compete with the tech giant. He said that OpenAI is now competing with Apple, which has fallen far behind in AI.

Alarm bells are about to ring for Apple. The company's former CEO, John Sculley, warned that after decades, a company has arrived that can compete with Apple. Addressing a conference, John said that Apple is not doing much work in artificial intelligence, and OpenAI is far ahead in this. He said that after decades, OpenAI is going to be Apple's real competitor. Let us tell you that OpenAI came into the limelight after the launch of its ChatGPT chatbot.

John gave this advice to Apple.

John served as Apple's CEO from 1983 to 1993. He advised Apple that the tech giant must move beyond the era of apps and into the era of agents, where smart AI agents can complete multiple tasks without the need for separate apps. He said that Apple has lagged behind companies like OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Amazon in terms of AI innovation and rapid product updates. The failure to revamp Siri is a testament to this.

John said that whoever succeeds Tim Cook as Apple's new CEO should focus primarily on AI. He will need to transition Apple from apps to AI agents. It's worth noting that Tim Cook hasn't officially announced his resignation yet, but it's believed he may step down soon.
