Many people travel by railway by making reservation in the train. Confirmed seat is available in reservation. But some rules have been fixed for this also. Which are applicable for the passengers who make reservation.

If you make reservation in the train. Then you get a seat in the AC and sleeper coach of the train. But do you know that if you do not reach your seat on time, then your seat is snatched away.

A time has been fixed by the railway to reach the confirmed seat in the train. Let us tell you that according to the rules of the railways, if you are unable to sit on your seat from your designated station, then you are given a chance to sit on your seat again.

If you are unable to sit on your seat from your designated station, then you are allowed to sit on your seat again at the next two stops. That is, your seat remains reserved for the next two stops. This is called the two-stop rule.

But if you are unable to reach your confirmed seat even after two stops, that is, from the station where your seat was to the next two stations, then the TTE can mark your seat as unreserved and give it to someone else.

That is why if you are traveling by train, then it is important for you to know about this rule. Otherwise, despite having a confirmed seat, you will not be able to board the train successfully, the money for the reservation will be charged separately.
