Abhishek Sharma's father, Rajkumar Sharma, revealed that Abhishek is so passionate that he sees nothing but practice. He also revealed that even when his family invited him home, Abhishek would not come. He would remain focused on practice and wake up at 4 a.m. to meditate.

Abhishek Sharma reached his fifty in 16 balls against Afghanistan, and the next fifty came in just 14 balls. Prior to this, the record for the fastest century in T20 Internationals (Full Member) was held by Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza, who scored a century in 33 balls. Rohit Sharma holds the record for the fastest century for India (35 balls).
