Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana: The government runs several schemes for the education of daughters and their bright future. One such scheme is the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana. Under this government scheme, the government transfers financial assistance of up to Rs 25,000 directly into the bank account in six different installments, from the birth of the daughter till the completion of her graduation or diploma studies. Yogi Adityanath 's government in Uttar Pradesh has increased this amount from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 from the financial year 2024-25.
When do you get money in six stages?

Who can avail the benefits of the scheme?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, the beneficiary family will have to fulfill the following conditions:-
- The applicant family must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh. A ration card, Aadhaar card, or residence certificate are required.
- The total annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 3 lakh.
- Only a maximum of two daughters in a family will be eligible for this scheme. However, if the second delivery results in twins, all three daughters will receive the benefit.
Documents required to apply
- Aadhar card of parents and daughter
- Income certificate of the family
- Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh
- Birth certificate of daughter
- Copy of bank passbook
- Proof of admission in school/college (as per the relevant stage)
- Passport-size photo of daughter
How to apply?
- First of all you have to visit the official website of Women and Child Development mksy.up.gov.in.
- On the homepage, you have to click on Citizen Services Portal or Apply Here.
- After reading the rules, click on I Agree and fill the registration form by entering your mobile number and Aadhaar.
- After getting the login ID, fill in the daughter's details in the form and upload the required documents for the respective step.
- After the form is submitted, the money will be sent directly to your account after verification by the concerned authorities like BDO or SDM.
