U19 World Cup 2026: India defeated the USA by 6 wickets in the first match of the Under-19 World Cup. India were set a target of 96 runs to win in this rain-affected match. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was a flop.

The Indian team got off to a strong start in the Under-19 World Cup 2026. The team, captained by Ayush Mhatre, defeated the USA by six wickets in the first match. Henil Patel was impressive with the ball, taking five wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi's bat was poor, scoring just two runs and returning to the pavilion. Chasing the target, Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu played an unbeaten innings of 42 runs.

 

In this match played at the Queens Sports Club, Ayush Mhatre won the toss and elected to bowl first. Henil Patel took the first wicket for the USA in the form of Amrinder Gill. Henil bowled brilliantly, taking wickets at regular intervals.
