TikTok ban Update News: Donald Trump took oath as the President of America on January 20 and is continuously signing various executive orders. Trump has taken an important decision regarding TikTok. China-based short video platform TikTok was banned in America, on January 18 the TikTok app went offline. Later its services were restored and now Trump has given relief to TikTok regarding the ban.
Donald Trump gave 75 days' time to TikTok,
giving relief from the ban to the TikTok app. Trump has signed an executive order regarding this. Actually, Trump is planning to bring such a proposal during this time frame, with the help of which he will not only save this platform from the ban, but will also protect national security. At the same time, TikTok is already banned in India.
Donald Trump said in his executive order, "I am directing the Attorney General not to take any action to implement the ban on TikTok for a period of 75 days from today so that my administration has the opportunity to prepare appropriate proposals that will protect national security and prevent the sudden closure of a platform that is used by millions of Americans."
TikTok has 170 million users in America
TikTok has 170 million users in the US. In April last year, former US President Joe Biden signed a bill. This bill was passed by a wide bipartisan majority in the House and Senate. In this bill, TikTok's parent company Bytedance was given 270 days to separate from the app or face a ban from the US App Store. According to this order, January 19 was the last day for this app. The app was taken offline a day before that. After this, Trump has given an additional 75 days in this matter.
