Romi Bhinder Rajasthan Royals Manager: BCCI has taken strict action against Rajasthan Royals manager Romi Bhinder for using mobile phone.
Rajasthan Royals manager punished
Rajasthan Royals team manager Romi Bhinder was seen using his mobile phone while sitting in the dugout a few days ago. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued him a fine of ₹1 lakh and a warning. The BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit issued a show-cause notice to Bhinder, who responded that he had to carry his mobile phone due to ill health. Following a thorough investigation, he was issued a warning.
let off with a warning
While Romi Bhinder was using the mobile phone, Rajasthan Royals batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was sitting nearby. Vaibhav even peeked into the phone. There was no discussion about Vaibhav in this matter.
The investigators were not completely satisfied with Romi Bhinder's answers, and therefore, they deemed it necessary to take action against him. Consequently, he was fined one lakh rupees and warned. The BCCI clarified that if such incidents arise in the future, strict action will be taken.
Did Vaibhav Suryavanshi also get punished?
The same report revealed that there was no discussion about punishing Vaibhav Suryavanshi. It was stated that Vaibhav is still a child and it would be better for the franchise to explain the rules to him better. There is no point in intimidating a young player. According to the rules, the manager can use the phone in the dressing room, but not in the dugout.
Players and staff members are required to surrender their phones before entering the dugout. While no corruption allegations were made in Romi Bhinder's case, bringing a mobile phone into the dugout without permission is considered a serious offense.
