Beta version of IRCTC New Website will be launched soon.
IRCTC New Website: Indian Railways is preparing to launch its new website soon. Speaking to students last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that the new website of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) would be live by July 15th. Now, fresh information is emerging regarding this. According to this, a beta version of this website is going to be launched soon. According to reports, unnecessary CAPTCHAs and pop-ups will be removed from the new website, and Tatkal ticket booking will be faster. Along with this, the Railways is also trying to curb bots in Tatkal ticket booking.
What will be the benefit of the new website?
Some reports claim that this website will launch with a capacity of 100,000 tickets per minute. The new website may also alleviate passengers' slow speed and frequent crashes. It will display seat availability for all classes simultaneously, and once passenger details are saved, rebooking tickets will become easier. It's worth noting that the current IRCTC website often crashes as soon as Tatkal ticket booking begins, causing difficulties for passengers. Passengers also complain about the captcha. Limited time is given to solve the captcha, and by the time it's solved, the time has already passed.
What are your expectations from the new website?
The IRCTC website is expected to receive a new design and user-friendly interface, making it easier to handle high traffic. It is believed that the payment gateway issue will also be resolved in the new website. The beta version will reveal all its features. Based on feedback from the beta version, necessary improvements will be made and it will be launched to the public.
88 percent of tickets are booked online
Indian Railways has the highest number of digital reservations. Approximately 88 percent of tickets are now booked online. The Railways has also been continuously revising its rules regarding online booking. Since July last year, Tatkal tickets can only be booked through the IRCTC website and app, and Aadhaar authentication is required for this as well.
