Tesla starts recruitment in India:  The electric car maker has posted recruitment alerts on its LinkedIn page for at least 13 positions, mostly in Mumbai and Delhi. 

Tesla starts recruitment in India:  During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to America, he also met tech giant Elon Musk. After this meeting, Tesla run by Musk has now released vacancies for various positions in India. India is a market where the company is going to enter soon. In such a situation, this is no less than a big opportunity for Indians. 

The hiring by Tesla in India comes at a time when Musk met PM Modi in Washington DC last week and had extensive talks on a wide range of issues including space, mobility, technology and innovation.

The electric car maker has posted recruitment alerts for at least 13 positions on its LinkedIn page, mostly in Mumbai and Delhi. According to the LinkedIn ads, these jobs include various consulting roles including Business Operations Analyst, Service Technician, Customer Engagement Manager, and Order Operations Specialist.

The recruitment comes at a time when India has reduced the basic custom duty on high-end cars costing more than $40,000 from 110 percent to 70 percent. Musk has considered bringing a more affordable version of Tesla for the Indian market, but no significant progress has been made on this so far.

What did Musk say after meeting PM Modi? 

"It was a pleasure to meet Elon Musk's family and talk on a wide range of topics. We discussed issues such as space, mobility, technology and innovation, including issues he is passionate about. I also spoke about India's efforts towards reform and advancing 'minimum government, maximum governance'," PM Modi had earlier posted on X.
