Babri Masjid Demolition Anniversary: Following the Supreme Court's decision in favour of the Ram Temple, the construction of the grand Ram Temple has been completed. Recently, the temple's construction was completed with the installation of the Dharma Dhwaja.

Security beefed up in Ayodhya
Ahead of the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition (December 6, 1992), security has been tightened across Uttar Pradesh, including Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, and Mathura, the birthplace of Shri Krishna. Officials gave this information on Friday. Along with Ayodhya and Mathura, special vigilance is being maintained in key districts like Varanasi, Lucknow, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, and Prayagraj. According to the police, security has been increased and extra surveillance is being maintained in Ayodhya since December 4.
Following the Supreme Court's decision in favor of the Ram Temple, a grand Ram Temple has been constructed at the disputed site. The temple's construction was recently completed with the installation of the Dharma Dhwaja (the religious flag), and security agencies are on high alert for December 6th. Ayodhya's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gaurav Grover, stated that all police stations in the district have been instructed to remain on alert. He added that additional surveillance is underway starting December 4th, and the security perimeter will be further tightened until December 6th. He added that no inconvenience will be caused to the public during this period.
The SSP said that hotels, eateries, guest houses, and dharamshalas are being regularly checked, and vehicles are also being monitored at city entrances. Ayodhya's Circle Officer (CO) Ashutosh Tiwari said that foot patrols are being conducted in the Ayodhya area in anticipation of December 6th. Police personnel have been instructed to remain vigilant along the Ram Temple route and at sensitive locations.
Drone surveillance on temple complex and other sensitive places in Mathura
The Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah complex in Mathura is a sensitive site. Agra Range Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Shailesh Kumar Pandey reviewed security arrangements and increased vigilance across the district. Officials said drones are monitoring the temple complex and other sensitive locations.
After a review meeting with senior officials, including the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police, Pandey led a foot march through the major market areas of Govind Nagar and Kotwali to reassure residents. Mathura Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said the city has been divided into zones and sectors, each zone overseen by a senior gazetted officer. Additional forces, including the PAC, RAF, and other specialized units, have been deployed from outside districts.
Police and administration fully alert- SSP
The SSP said, "The police and administration are on high alert. No individual or organization will be allowed to undertake any new activity that threatens to disturb peace. Security has been increased around religious sites and areas with mixed populations." He added that intelligence units are active in sensitive areas and suspects attempting to disturb peace under the guise of events are being detained. Police presence has been increased at railway stations, bus stands, district borders, markets, and public places across the state.
Delhi: Vigilance heightened in wake of car blast
Officials also said that vigilance has been increased in light of the recent car bombing in Delhi. Some Hindu organisations observe December 6 as "Valor Day" and many Muslim groups observe it as "Black Day," making the day sensitive for law and order.
