India held an 80-78 lead after the first two sets, but their lead dwindled to just one in the third set, bringing the overall score to 118-117. Korea shot a perfect 20 in the final set, putting pressure on Sahil and Chikita. Under pressure, Chikita managed a 9. India was on the verge of defeat, as if Sahil hadn't scored a 10 on the final shot, they would have had to settle for the silver medal.

Sahil Jadhav didn't disappoint, scoring a 10 on his final attempt, tying the match at 157-157. A shoot-off was then decided, with both teams getting two shots each. India and South Korea each shot a 10. Sahil also scored a 10, but the South Korean woman's shot was closer to the midpoint, while the Indian player's shot was off the midpoint.
