Railway Recruitment Scam: Husband Sends Unfaithful Wife to Jail, Major Revelations in CBI Investigation

Several cases have surfaced where husbands helped their wives secure jobs, only to be abandoned later. However, in a shocking new case from Karauli, Rajasthan, a husband exposed his wife's fraudulent recruitment in the railways after she betrayed him. Seeking justice, he reported the matter to the Railway Board, which then handed it over to the CBI for investigation.

Wife Filed for Divorce Soon After Getting the Job

Manish Meena, a resident of Rosi village in Karauli, took a loan of ₹15 lakh by mortgaging his land to secure a railway job for his wife, Sapna Meena. She was appointed as a pointsman in the railway department. However, just a few months later, she abandoned him, citing his unemployment, and filed for divorce. Heartbroken by this betrayal, Manish decided to expose the entire scam and lodged a complaint with Railway Vigilance and the CBI.

Husband Reveals the Truth

Manish recounted, “I married Sapna Meena, daughter of Puranmal Meena, on January 22, 2022. She expressed her desire to continue studying, so I took her to Kota for coaching. During this time, she told me that her uncle, Chetaram, worked in the Kota railway workshop and knew someone who could secure a job for her. She insisted that I take a loan to pay for the recruitment process.”

Although Manish initially refused to pay ₹15 lakh for the job, he eventually agreed under pressure. Chetaram introduced him to an agent named Rajendra, who assured him there would be no issues. Trusting his wife’s words, Manish mortgaged his land and took out the loan.

CBI Investigation Uncovers Fraud

During its probe, the CBI uncovered a shocking truth—Sapna Meena had used a dummy candidate named Laxmi Meena to take the railway recruitment exam on her behalf. The agency conducted raids in Karauli, Kota, and Alwar, seizing multiple documents as evidence.

Once the fraud was exposed, the railway department suspended Sapna Meena, and the CBI registered a case against both her and Laxmi Meena. The incident closely resembles the case of Uttar Pradesh PCS officer Jyoti Maurya, where a husband exposed his wife’s deceit after facing betrayal.
