Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been selected for the T20 series against Ireland and England. On Saturday, the BCCI announced the squads for these two series as well as the Asian Games. Vaibhav is part of the team, but he is joined by another player who has been selected for the national T20 team for the first time.

The BCCI first announced its new T20 captain. Replacing Suryakumar Yadav, the board appointed Shreyas Iyer as the new captain. Tilak Varma has been chosen as the vice-captain. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is one of the most talked-about names. He performed brilliantly in IPL 2026 and earned a place in the national T20 team for the first time. But he is not the only one on this list who has been selected for the T20 team for the first time.

Prince Yadav is also included in the T20 team

IPL 2026 wasn't a good one for the Lucknow Super Giants, but their fast bowler Prince Yadav impressed. He was also included in the ODI squad against Afghanistan and has now been included in the national T20 team for the first time. He has been selected for the tours to Ireland and England, although he is not named in the Asian Games squad.
