New schedule of IPL 2025 announced, final match will be played on this date

BCCI has announced the new schedule for IPL 2025. A total of 17 matches will be played at 6 venues, which will start from May 17 and the final match will be played on June 3. At the same time, the venue of the playoffs has not been decided yet.

 

Due to tension between India and Pakistan, BCCI suspended IPL for 1 week on 9 May. Earlier on 8 May, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was stopped midway. However, now after the ceasefire between the two countries, BCCI has announced a new schedule for the remaining matches. According to the new schedule, this league will start again from May 17 and a total of 17 matches will be played at 6 venues. Apart from this, the final match will be held on June 3.

 

IPL 2025 new schedule announced

BCCI has decided to conduct the remaining matches at 6 venues, which include Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. During this time, the remaining league matches will be played from May 17 to May 25, which includes 2 double headers. Apart from this, the playoff matches will start from May 29 and the final match will be held on June 3. But BCCI has not yet decided the venues for the playoff matches. It will announce it later.

IPL issued a press release stating, 'BCCI is happy to announce the resumption of Tata IPL 2025. A total of 17 matches will be played at 6 venues, starting on May 17 and ending with the final on June 3. The new schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays. The playoffs are scheduled as follows- Qualifier 1 - May 29, Eliminator - May 30, Qualifier 2 - June 1 and Final - June 3. Venues for the playoff matches will be announced later. On this occasion, BCCI once again salutes the bravery and resilience of the Armed Forces of India, whose efforts have made the safe return of cricket possible.
