Maldives News: The friendship between India and Maldives is growing again. India has contacted Maldives amid growing economic contacts. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has given this information. 

Maldives News: It is often seen that people who want to travel go to Maldives. Where their holidays go well. However, this is not a good time for Maldives. The economic crisis is increasing continuously. The pressure on its economy is also increasing. Which has become a matter of concern for the country. 

 

Amid the growing economic crisis, India on Friday said that it is in close contact with the island nation regarding the situation. The Maldives economy is under increasing pressure, the main reason for which is the debt crisis. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has given this information. 

 

 

Jaiswal also mentioned some recent agreements made by the Maldives government and said that there is a possibility of revenue loss due to these and this is a matter of concern. He said, "We will definitely have to keep this in mind while making our policies. Let us tell you that the relationship between India and Maldives had soured in the past few days. After which a decline in the number of tourists was also seen there. The main reason for which was believed to be the deteriorating relationship with India. 

On a question regarding the upcoming talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Jaiswal said that India hopes that all mutually agreed agreements will be respected.

Director General level talks between BSF and BGB are scheduled to be held in New Delhi from February 17 to February 20. Jaiswal said, "We hope that all mutually agreed MoUs and agreements will be respected. These form the basis of solid engagement between border security forces and facilitate the creation of mutually beneficial security and trade infrastructure along the border.
