This party has been much discussed on the internet for the last few days. CJP founder Abhijeet Deepak said that earlier, an attempt was made to hack this account. When this account was not hacked, it was closed. This party had more than 1.6 lakh followers on X, whereas the number of followers on Instagram has increased to more than 13 million. On opening the party's account on X, it is written that this account has been withheld due to legal demand.

How did this campaign start?

This online campaign, called CJP, launched on May 16th. Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant had used the term "cockroach" to describe the attitude of certain unemployed youth in the country. In response, Deepak wrote, "What if all the cockroaches came together?" Following this, an online campaign called "Cockroach Janata Party" began on social media, and quickly attracted significant engagement. In terms of Instagram followers, CJP has surpassed the Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling party at the Centre. According to reports, 600,000 people have registered. The party's social media following includes several prominent politicians and celebrities.

Who is Abhijeet Deepak?

The founder of the Cockroach Janata Party is 30-year-old Abhijeet Dipke. He completed his undergraduate degree in journalism from Pune, Maharashtra. He then moved to the United States for further studies, where he earned a postgraduate degree in public relations from the prestigious Boston University. Dipke is a political communications strategist by profession, developing digital strategies for political parties.

The Cockroach Janata Party's website is live, and the party has released its manifesto. It includes demands such as not sending the Chief Justice to the Rajya Sabha after retirement, providing 50 percent reservation for women without increasing the number of seats in the House, and imposing a 20-year ban on MPs and MLAs from contesting elections after switching parties.
