Lock Upp 2: After Shilpa Shinde's 'love birds' comment, Harshad Chopra calls Shivangi Joshi his 'sister', says this

Apurva Mukhija, popularly known as Rebel Kid, entered Lock Up 2, but the conversation between Harshad Chopra and Shivangi Joshi soon became one of the biggest talking points of the episode.

The discussion began when Shilpa Shinde repeatedly referred to Harshad and Shivangi as "love birds." Harshad seemed upset by this and came clean about his relationship with Shivangi.

During the conversation, Harshad said, "Her (Shivangi's) mother trusts me. I am her friend." As the discussion continued, Ram Kapoor interrupted, "It's a brother-sister relationship." Harshad then explained his relationship with Shivangi, saying, "I love my sister the way I love my mother, and I love my father the same way I love (Shivangi)." He also asked, "Have you ever seen me do anything?"

Harshad says that the comments may affect Shivangi's reputation.

Harshad further stated that he is 43 years old and probably wouldn't want to remarry. He added that Shivangi is younger and at an age where she can think about marriage, and that repeatedly linking them romantically could affect her image.

The actor also clarified that Shivangi's family knows him well and they had asked him to take care of her.

Fans react to Harshad-Shivangi's conversation

The conversation soon sparked reactions from Lock Up 2 viewers on social media. One user joked, "Shivangi has been behenzoned." Another wrote, "According to Shivangi and Harshad, Harshad and Shivangi are now officially brother and sister!"

Shilpa Shinde questioned his explanation

Shilpa didn't continue the argument with Harshad and Shivangi after reacting strongly to their comments. However, she later discussed the incident with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra. Shilpa explained that neither of them had objected when jailer Ritesh Deshmukh had previously jokingly called Shivangi Harshad's "girlfriend."

She questioned why the two were now describing their relationship as brother and sister, seeming to take a direct dig at him. New episodes of Lock Up 2 stream Saturdays through Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Netflix.
