Who Will Perform at the IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony?

Bollywood stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are expected to deliver high-energy performances at the event. Additionally, renowned playback singer Arijit Singh is also rumored to be part of the lineup. While there has been no official confirmation yet, reports from The Hindu suggest their participation.

Last season, the IPL opening ceremony saw performances by stars like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonu Nigam, and AR Rahman, setting high expectations for this year’s event.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Snehasish Ganguly has confirmed that the IPL opening ceremony will be a 25-minute program before the match. He mentioned that while details about the performers have yet to be confirmed, fans can expect an entertaining show.

“We will host the opening ceremony, but we are yet to receive a final list of artists. However, like every year, it will be a memorable event. The first day of IPL in Kolkata will be a special one,” said Ganguly.

IPL 2025 begins with a fresh start for Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have appointed Rajat Patidar as their new captain. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders, despite being the defending champions, have opted for a leadership change. Veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who is currently out of the Indian national team, will take charge of KKR.
