India won the 10th match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 against the Netherlands by 95 runs on Wednesday. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur credited the opening partnership of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma as crucial in India's historic victory.

After the match at Headingley, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, "We did very well with the bat. The wicket wasn't easy. The way Smriti and Shafali batted gave us a great platform. Credit goes to them for this. She is a player who is very eager to bowl. She is always ready whenever the team needs her. Hopefully, she will become a great all-rounder in the future."

During the Netherlands' innings, off-spin bowling all-rounder Shreyanka Patil sprained her right ankle and was taken off the field on a stretcher. Shreyanka's injury has added to the Indian team's problems.

Regarding Shreyanka's injury, captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, "I don't have any clear information right now. We are in a very good position. We have achieved what we wanted to in these two matches."

Shri Charani took 4 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Nandini Sharma took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 3 overs. Shafali Verma took 3 wickets. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur seemed happy with the bowlers. She said, "Kranti is bowling consistently for us. Nandini has gained a lot of experience from the Women's Premier League. She is using her experience here and it is good to see her getting wickets in the powerplay."

India, batting first, posted 209/5, thanks to a 115-run partnership between Smriti Mandhana (74) and Shafali Verma (55). In reply, the Netherlands were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs. India will play their next match against South Africa on June 21.
