IMD Rainfall Alert and Weather Update: Light rain is expected in Uttar Pradesh between February 3 and 5, while Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan have been issued a rain alert for February 3 and 4.
The weather in North India, including Uttar Pradesh, is set to change starting tomorrow. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts rain across several states. Rain will persist in hilly regions until February 5, while northwest India will experience showers from February 3 to 5. Additionally, dense to very dense fog will cover parts of North India over the next 24 hours, reducing thereafter. Light rain is forecasted in Uttar Pradesh from February 3 to 5, with Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan expected to see rainfall on February 3 and 4.
Weather Observations from the Last 24 Hours
Over the past day, very dense fog was reported in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, while dense fog was observed in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal. Meanwhile, light rainfall was recorded in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Rain will persist in hilly areas until February 5, accompanied by snowfall in various locations. Light showers will also be experienced across the plains of Northwest India from February 3 to 5.
Temperature and Weather Trends for the Coming Days
IMD forecasts minimal weather changes in the western Himalayan region over the next two days, followed by a temperature increase of 2-3°C. In Northwest India, temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3°C over the next four to five days. Conversely, Western India will witness a temperature drop of 2-3°C after two days. Central India is also expected to see a decline of 2-3°C.
Regarding fog conditions, dense fog is anticipated in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on February 2, while Bihar, Odisha, Assam, and Meghalaya will experience fog until February 3.
