Sharing his fitness journey on the social media platform X, Avneesh Sharan explained that in 2020, at the age of 39, he decided to become healthier than ever. However, the beginning wasn't easy. Job pressures, family responsibilities, and daily hectic schedules disrupted his routine several times. Then, after a surgery in 2024, his fitness journey came to a complete halt. He then started afresh in June 2025. This time, his goal wasn't just to lose weight, but to achieve health both inside and out. He established a simple yet strict regimen: exercise sensibly, eat a balanced diet, get adequate sleep, and repeat the same routine every day without fail.
What is the secret of his fitness?
He incorporated strength training into his routine five to six days a week. He gradually increased the intensity of his workouts to keep his muscles strong. He also did cardio exercises, but kept his focus limited. Daily walking became an essential part of his routine. He also paid equal attention to recovery and stretching to maintain his fitness over the long term.
What was included in the diet plan?
He chose home-cooked meals over expensive or fancy diet plans. He included adequate protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, green vegetables, and seasonal fruits in his diet. He monitored his calories, reduced processed foods and sugar, and made it a habit to drink plenty of water. He also considered six to seven hours of good sleep every day an important part of his fitness. At the beginning of 2026, he set himself a specific goal: to achieve the best fitness of his life by June 27th, his daughter Vedika's birthday.

According to Avneesh Sharan, the real success wasn't just in weight loss, but in the visible changes in his health reports. Between September 2025 and May 2026, his total cholesterol dropped from 278 to 158. LDL cholesterol dropped from 205.2 to 83, while good cholesterol, or HDL, increased from 51 to 62.8. His triglycerides also dropped from 109 to 61.9.
