"I Don’t Drink 5 Liters of Milk," Dhoni Clears the Air About Viral Myths

Amid Chennai Super Kings' disappointing performance in IPL 2025, with only two wins out of eight matches, MS Dhoni has still managed to grab attention—this time for debunking two long-standing myths about himself in a candid interview.

The Truth About Milk

A viral myth that Dhoni drinks 5 liters of milk a day to stay fit has been circulating for years. But in a recent video shared by Chennai Super Kings on Instagram, Dhoni finally put the rumors to rest. When asked about the biggest lie told about him, Dhoni smiled and said:

“I don’t drink 5 liters of milk a day. I drink just 1 liter, split across the day.”

Washing Machine Lassi? Not at All

The next question was even more bizarre—whether he makes lassi in a washing machine. Dhoni responded with his signature calm, saying:

“I don’t even like lassi!”

Clearly, Captain Cool isn’t bothered by these outlandish rumors but chose to clarify them once and for all.

Struggles on the Field

While Dhoni’s personal life is clear, CSK's IPL campaign has been far from smooth. The team is at the bottom of the points table and struggling to find form. The openers haven't been able to capitalize during the powerplay, and the batting line-up is underperforming. Dhoni’s bat has also been quiet this season, scoring only 134 runs in 8 innings with an average of 33.50.

However, Dhoni has reached a significant milestone as a wicketkeeper—he has now completed 200 dismissals in IPL history, with 154 catches and 46 stumpings to his name. A big achievement, even amidst a tough season for CSK.

The Road Ahead

For CSK, the journey to the playoffs now seems like a steep climb. They need to win all their remaining matches to stay in the race. The team’s next match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25, with every match now being a do-or-die situation.

MS Dhoni might not be drinking gallons of milk or using washing machines for lassi, but he’s continuing to lead with his usual composure—on and off the field.
