BGMI 4.4 Update: Big news has come out for the players of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Krafton India has officially given information about the release timing and new features of the BGMI 4.4 update. This time, the update will not be limited to just small changes but many big and exciting changes will be seen in the gameplay. In the new update, players will get to experience the power of flying, battlegrounds like ancient temples, special boss fights and different combat trials. This update will be released in a phased manner for Android and iPhone users from 20 May 2026.

New Ancient Battle Experience available in Hero's Crown Mode

The biggest highlight of the BGMI 4.4 update is the new Hero's Crown mode. This mode completely redesigns several parts of the Erangel map. The game will now feature massive structures reminiscent of ancient kingdoms and marble-designed battle areas. Popular locations like the Ruins and Ferry Pier will receive a completely new look. A floating island called Crown's Abode has also been added, offering the potential for high-level loot. However, the battle here will be quite difficult, as most attacking squads will attempt to land there. Players landing here may also receive an extra recall chance, allowing them to bring teammates back into the game.

Sun Chariots and Boss Fights will add to the excitement.

The update also adds a new feature called Sun Chariots. Players will be able to ride these special chariots into boss fights. Winning these battles will unlock rare rewards and special items. This feature will make the game even more cinematic and adventure-based.

Special Powers will be available in the new Combat Trials.

Three new Combat Trials have been added to BGMI 4.4. Each trial will offer a different challenge and special powers.

Spartan's Trial

In this mode, players must defend a battle flag and fight off relentless waves of enemies. Completing missions grants a buff called Unyielding State, which prevents players from getting knocked down too quickly.

Icarus' Trial

This trial is based on movement and climbing. Players who complete the challenge will temporarily gain the power to fly, allowing them to attack enemies in a different way.

Achilles' Trial

This mode will focus on fast-paced combat and Phantom Hunts. Players who complete it will gain powerful Ancient Assault abilities that will be beneficial for aggressive gameplay.

How to download the BGMI 4.4 update

Android users

Android users can download the BGMI update by going to the Manage Apps section of the Google Play Store.

iPhone users

iPhone and iPad users will need to refresh the update screen of the Apple App Store, after which the new version will be visible.

APK users

Players who installed the game via an APK file will be able to manually download the update once the official APK is released. You'll need to have sufficient free storage on your phone before downloading the update.
