Researchers included 19 postmenopausal women in the study and gave them 100 grams of milk chocolate to eat. These women either ate it within an hour of waking up in the morning or an hour before sleeping at night. The purpose of this study was to know what effect the time of eating chocolate has on the body.

The study also found that after eating chocolate, women had a decrease in hunger and desire to eat sweets. Due to which they did not eat more calories without any difficulty. Although their calorie intake increased by 542 calories due to chocolate, women reduced their total calorie intake by 16% after eating chocolate in the morning, which can be beneficial for weight loss.
