13-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Stuns with Power-Hitting, Video Goes Viral

Rajasthan Royals' young talent, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is making waves and could etch his name in history as the youngest player to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL). During a training session in Jaipur ahead of the franchise's IPL 2025 campaign, Vaibhav showcased his aggressive batting, displaying remarkable confidence and skill. Rajasthan Royals will kick off their season against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Royals shared a video of Vaibhav’s explosive batting on their official X handle, where he was seen dispatching balls for fours and sixes. The caption described his gameplay as “dhoom dhadaka,” emphasizing his dynamic stroke play.

RR captain Sanju Samson also praised Vaibhav during Jio Hotstar’s ‘Superstar’ program, highlighting his natural talent and approach to the game. "I prefer observing a youngster first—how they want to play, what excites them, and how I can support them. Vaibhav is incredibly confident. He was hitting sixes even beyond the academy walls. People were already talking about his power-hitting. The key is to recognize his strengths and provide him with the right guidance, like an elder brother," Samson said.

Vaibhav made his T20 debut for Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year. His exceptional talent caught Rajasthan Royals' attention, leading to a surprising yet impressive IPL auction bid of ₹1.10 crore.

Speaking further, Samson emphasized Rajasthan Royals' commitment to nurturing young players. "Our focus is to keep him at his best and provide a comfortable atmosphere, which RR is known for. We maintain a positive dressing room environment to support our players. Who knows? In a few years, he might even play for India. He looks ready for the IPL, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for him."

Born on March 27, 2011, in Bihar, Vaibhav is now the youngest player in IPL history. He made his first-class debut for Bihar in January 2024 at just 12 years and 284 days old. Earlier, he impressed in an India Under-19 match against Australia in Chennai, where he smashed a century off just 58 balls, proving his immense potential.
