Dalai Lama Z Security: After the threat report of the Security Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Home Ministry has decided to provide Z category security to the supreme spiritual leader of Buddhism, Dalai Lama. The 89-year-old spiritual leader will get a total of 33 security personnel, including 12 commandos and 6 PSOs.

Dalai Lama Z Security: The Home Ministry of the Government of India has decided to provide Z category security to the supreme spiritual leader of Buddhism, Dalai Lama. This security has been given on the basis of the threat report of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Under the Z category security, a total of 33 security personnel will be deployed for the security of the Dalai Lama.
The 89-year-old spiritual guru will get a total of 33 security personnel, which includes armed static guards deployed at his house, private security officers providing round-the-clock security and armed escort commandos in shifts. Apart from this, trained drivers and surveillance personnel will be on duty round the clock to ensure his safety.

What will be the security arrangements?
10 armed static guards from 33 security forces will be present at his house. 6 personal security officers (PSOs) will be present with him round the clock. 12 commandos will provide him security in three shifts. 2 watchers will monitor in shifts. 3 trained drivers who will accompany him in his convoy at all times. Apart from this, special surveillance and other arrangements have also been implemented for his security.
Who is the supreme spiritual leader of Buddhism, Dalai Lama?
Dalai Lama was born in 1935 as Lhamo Thondup. When he was 2 years old, he was considered the reincarnation of his predecessor Tibetan spiritual leader. In 1940, he was recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.
At the same time, in 1950, China attacked Tibet. After this, in 1959, a rebellion against China failed, due to which the Dalai Lama came to India. Since then he has been living in exile in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 for his efforts for non-violence and peace.
