Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp Subscription Plan: Meta introduces new plans
Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp Subscription Plan: Meta has begun rolling out paid subscriptions for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp . According to reports, the company is launching "Plus" versions of its apps for the global market. Paying for these will give users access to exclusive tools and customization options that won't be available to regular users. This indicates that Meta no longer relies solely on ads for revenue. The company now wants users to pay for premium features. Let's explore this in detail.
How much will I have to pay for the subscription plan?
According to reports, Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are priced at approximately ₹390 per month in the global market, while WhatsApp Plus is priced at approximately ₹290. It is not yet known how much these plans will cost in India.
What features are there in the subscription plan of which app?
Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus subscribers will be able to see how many people have rewatched their stories. They also have the option to create unlimited story audience lists and view others' stories privately without appearing in their viewer lists. This plan also includes the option to extend the story time limit beyond 24 hours, spotlight one story per week for extra visibility, search for users in the story viewer list, and post to profiles without appearing in the follower feed.
These features will come with WhatsApp Plus
WhatsApp Plus puts a greater emphasis on messaging personalization. Subscribers to WhatsApp's paid plan will receive custom themes, unique ringtones, premium stickers, the ability to pin up to 20 chats simultaneously, and list customization tools. The company has stated that more features will be added to these plans in the future. It's worth noting that the new subscription plans are different from MetaVerified, which offers features like identity verification, impersonation protection, and customer support.
Meta One plan also launched
In addition to paid versions of social media apps, the company has also announced Meta One. It includes plans tailored to the needs of AI, creators, and businesses. It includes two plans. The first plan, called Meta One Plus, is priced at $7.99 (approximately Rs. 775). It is for those who use Meta AI for image and video generation and longer reasoning tasks.
