Fast bowler Yash Dayal, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, will be moving to another team before the next season. Yash has not played competitive cricket since IPL 2025, following allegations of sexual harassment against him. A major update has emerged regarding the team change for Yash Dayal, who plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket.

In the upcoming 2026-27 domestic season, Yash will play for Chhattisgarh instead of Uttar Pradesh. He has requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. He himself revealed this change.

Speaking to Times of India, Yash Dayal said, "I have applied for NOC in UPCA. I will join the fitness camp of the Chhattisgarh team before next month and will play for Chhattisgarh in the upcoming domestic season."

Yash also appeared emotional after leaving Uttar Pradesh cricket. He said, "Playing for Uttar Pradesh and representing the team in Ranji Trophy was a very special and proud experience. The UP Cricket Association was very close to my heart. I gained recognition from UP. I played in the IPL and was also selected for Team India. The UPCA played a huge role in everything I achieved."

Yash further said, "As a cricketer, no one wants to go through a phase in their life that shakes their life. But cricket taught me how to come back and perform. I did not run away from my difficulties."

Yash Dayal's career for Uttar Pradesh

Yash played for Uttar Pradesh from 2018 to 2025. During this period, he played 27 first-class, 23 List A, and 71 T20 matches. He took 84 wickets in 50 first-class innings, 36 wickets in 22 List A innings, and 66 wickets in 71 T20 innings.
