Pitch Report for the first ODI
After winning the T20 series, the Indian cricket team's next mission is to win the ODI series in New Zealand. You may be surprised to know that Team India hasn't won an ODI match in New Zealand in seven years. India last defeated New Zealand in an ODI on February 3, 2019. Now, starting Wednesday, November 4, a five-match ODI series will be played between India and New Zealand. The first match will be played at Eden Park in Auckland. Find out what the pitch will be like at this venue.
It should be noted that the BCCI has announced three Indian teams for the five-match ODI series. New Zealand has also announced two teams. The main reason for this is that there is not much gap between the ODI series and the Test series. Shreyas Iyer, who is not part of the Test team, will captain India in the fourth and fifth ODIs.

The first ODI between India and New Zealand will be played at Seddon Park in Auckland. The fourth match of the T20 series was played here, in which New Zealand won by 87 runs. However, forget T20 cricket. In ODI cricket, the pitch at this ground is initially favorable for fast bowlers. Fast bowlers get good pace and bounce with the new ball. As a result, fast bowlers dominate in the initial overs. However, scoring runs with the old ball has been found to be easier here. The Auckland ground is quite small, making it easier to hit fours and sixes. Dew may also play a role. In such a situation, the team winning the toss may decide to bowl first.
New Zealand's squad for the first three ODIs: Mitchell Santner (captain), Michael Bracewell, Jacob Duffy, Matt Fisher, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham (wicketkeeper), Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith, Will Young, and Blair Tickner. (Devon Conway is ruled out of the first ODI; his replacement is yet to be announced.)
Team India for the first ODI: Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli , Shreyas Iyer, Naman Dheer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Anshul Kamboj, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Gurnur Brar, Mohammed Siraj, Aqib Nabi Dar, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav
