It is worth noting that Safyaan Sharif was born in Yorkshire, England, on May 24, 1991. Safyaan's father is of Pakistani descent, and his mother is of British descent. At the age of just seven, Safyaan moved to Scotland. 

Speaking of Safyaan's international career, the 34-year-old fast bowler has played 90 ODIs and 75 T20 Internationals. He has taken 113 wickets in ODIs, while Safyaan has 85 wickets in T20Is.
