Sonal Dinusha was born on December 4, 2000, in Colombo. The 25-year-old is a bowling all-rounder who made her Test debut against Bangladesh in June last year. In her fourth Test, she scored her first Test century in her sixth innings, also her first international century. It's worth noting that Sonal has yet to make her ODI or T20I debut for Sri Lanka.

Sonal has played 68 first-class matches, scoring 3698 runs in 102 innings. She has scored 11 centuries and 19 half-centuries in first-class cricket. She has taken 133 wickets in first-class cricket. In the first Test against India, Sonal bowled just four overs in the first innings, conceding 17 runs and going wicketless.
