With the help of quick half-centuries from captain Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a competitive score of 221 runs for five wickets against Mumbai Indians in the IPL match on Monday. Mumbai lost by 12 runs while chasing the target, while Tilak Verma hit a brilliant half-century and captain Hardik Pandya also played a big innings. Krunal Pandya was the best bowler for RCB, taking 4 wickets. Patidar played a brilliant innings of 64 runs off 32 balls, while star batsman Kohli scored 67 runs off 42 balls at the Wankhede Stadium.

For RCB, Devdutt Padikkal played a quick innings of 37 runs off 22 balls, helping RCB challenge MI's bowling attack. Jitesh Sharma, who came to bat in the 15th over, scored 40 runs off 19 balls and gave RCB a blazing start. Returning Jasprit Bumrah was the best bowler for Mumbai, giving away just 29 runs in his four overs, although he did not get a single wicket.
