Viral Video: A case of brutal beating of students by a police officer has come to light at Sankatmochan police post located in Lanka police station area of ​​​​Varanasi. According to the information, this incident took place at the police post located near Sankatmochan temple. This case is related to an old clash between two groups of students, whose CCTV footage was found by the police. On the basis of this, post in-charge Naveen Chaturvedi called

some students of one side to the post and beat them brutally there.

As soon as the video of this incident surfaced, people became angry and started raising questions on the police administration. Senior officials of Varanasi Police took cognizance of the matter and Kashi Zone DCP Gaurav Bansal suspended the accused outpost in-charge Naveen Chaturvedi with immediate effect. The DCP clearly said that no policeman has the right to take the law into his own hands and such brutality will not be tolerated. Also, he assured that strict action will be taken against other guilty policemen in this case.
