In a bizarre attempt to gain social media fame, a man in Bengaluru decided to make a reel by placing a chair right in the middle of a busy road, calmly sipping tea as vehicles rushed past him. The stunt, recorded on Magadi Road on April 12, quickly went viral on Instagram — and also caught the attention of the Bengaluru City Police.
The man’s tea-time stunt, aimed at creating trending content, backfired spectacularly. The video, widely shared online, raised serious concerns about public safety. Acting swiftly, the police identified and arrested the man for performing a dangerous act on a public road, endangering himself and others.
The Bengaluru Police posted a warning on X (formerly Twitter), saying,
"Drinking tea in the traffic line will get you a hefty fine, not fame! Be careful, BCP is watching you."
Authorities have reiterated that such reckless stunts are not just irresponsible but legally punishable. Strict action will be taken against anyone who puts lives at risk in the name of content creation.
