David Miller, South Africa vs New Zealand 2nd Semi Final: The second semi-final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was played on March 5 between South Africa and New Zealand cricket team at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Where the African team had to face defeat, but the way David Miller batted in the lower order, everyone present in the field was overjoyed to see it. The 35-year-old batsman faced a total of 67 balls while batting at number six during the match. Meanwhile, he managed to score an unbeaten 100 runs at a strike rate of 149.25. During this, 10 fours and four beautiful sixes came off his bat. 

Miller completed his seventh century of ODI career 

The African batsman completed the seventh century of his ODI career by batting explosively in Lahore. Miller has played a total of 178 ODI matches for the Proteas till the time of writing this news. Meanwhile, his bat has produced 4611 runs in 153 innings. Miller has seven centuries and 24 half-centuries in the ODI format.

New Zealand got a great win 

Talking about the result of the match, New Zealand's team managed to score 362 runs for the loss of six wickets in 50 overs after winning the toss and batting first in Lahore. Opening the innings for the team, Rachin Ravindra was the highest scorer. He played the highest century innings of 108 runs in 101 balls at a strike rate of 106.93. Apart from Ravindra, Kane Williamson also managed to score a century while batting at the third position. He contributed 102 runs in 94 balls.

Chasing the target of 363 runs set by the opposition, the South African team could only score 312 runs at the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Miller contributed an unbeaten 100 runs for the team. Apart from him, Rassie van der Dussen contributed 69, while captain Temba Bavuma contributed 56 runs. However, despite this, the African team failed to win. They had to face defeat by 50 runs in the semi-final match.
