Bring Vaibhav into T20 but...

According to the Times of India, Sourav Ganguly stated that Vaibhav should be included in the T20 squad immediately, but he is not yet ready for Test cricket. In domestic cricket, Vaibhav has already made his first-class debut for Bihar. So far, he has scored 207 runs in his eight-match first-class career.

On the question of bringing Vaibhav Suryavanshi into Team India, Sourav Ganguly said, "Vaibhav should be given an immediate opportunity in T20s, but not in Tests. He will need to score a lot of runs in first-class cricket to earn a place. Vaibhav is a very talented player. It's incredible to see a 15-year-old bat like this against the world's best. He is the future of the Indian team."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi also has a high boundary percentage in red-ball cricket. He has scored at a strike rate of over 90 in his first-class career so far. These statistics prove that Vaibhav strives to score boundaries even in red-ball cricket, while Sourav Ganguly's statement suggests that Vaibhav should play aggressively; only then can he earn a place in the Test team.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored 835 runs in his 21-match IPL career so far. If he scores 165 more runs in the next three innings, he will add to the Indian record for the fewest innings to reach 1,000 runs in the IPL. Currently, this record is held by Sai Sudarshan, who reached 1,000 runs in 25 innings.
