A tense situation unfolded Thursday evening near Santoshi Mata Mandir in Udaipur’s Dhanmandi area after a dispute between two groups escalated into a violent clash.
The trouble began when some boys argued with vegetable vendor Satyaveer over a minor issue. The argument quickly escalated, and one of the boys threw a stone at Satyaveer’s vegetable stall before fleeing. Later, around 10 PM, 4-5 boys returned wielding swords and sticks and attacked Satyaveer, injuring him. He was rushed to MB Hospital for treatment.
Following the attack, anger spread among locals who gathered at the spot, setting fire to nearby vegetable kiosks. The police arrived quickly, and SP Yogesh Goyal led a heavy police deployment to restore order.
SP Goyal confirmed that the situation is now under control, with police conducting raids to find the attackers. He urged the public to remain calm, avoid rumors, and maintain peace.
