Paradise for birdwatchers
Pangot is just 13 km away from Nainital. But most people's visit to Uttarakhand is limited to Nainital, Mussoorie, due to which this place is still away from the eyes of tourists. Due to this, the beauty of this place is still intact. Coming to this place, you can see different types of birds roaming in the green forest and trees. More than 580 species of birds are present here. On the way to reach here, you can also see a variety of Himalayan animal and bird species, such as lammergeier, Himalayan griffon, blue-winged mineola, spotted and gray forktail, roof-bellied woodpecker, roof-bellied Poltava, pheasants, various types of thrushes, etc. These places are home to a variety of flora and fauna including leopards, deer, and sambar. Located in the Kumaon region, the sight of Pangot is heart-touching.

Mukteshwar Temple
It is situated at an altitude of 2286 meters (7500 feet) in the hills of Kumaon. The peaks of the Himalayan mountains like Nanda Devi, Trishul, etc. are visible from here. Here there is a temple of Lord Shiva on top of a hill, which is situated at an altitude of 2315 meters. This temple is famous for the name of Mukteshwar Temple. One has to climb about 100 steps to reach this temple. Here along with Lord Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Parvati, Hanuman, and Nandi ji are also seated. There is a gathering of langurs outside the temple.

Near the temple, there is a network of chili in the rocks. It is also called the 'fourth lattice'. This place is along with Mukteshwar temple. Here too one can reach by climbing a little hill. It is believed that a battle between the goddess and the demon took place here. It is a mountain peak with a round hole on the topmost rock. It is said that if a childless woman passes through this hole, she is blessed with a child. There is a beautiful view of the valley from the top of the mountain.

Bhimtal
Bhimtal is a triangular lake. It is 10 km north of Kathgodam in Uttaranchal. Its length is 1674 meters, width is 447 meters and depth is from 15 to 50 meters. This is a bigger lake than Nainital. Like Nainital, it also has two corners called Talli Tal and Malli Tal. It is also connected to both the corner roads. Nainital to Bhimtal distance is 22.5 kms. m. Is. Its nearest railway station is Kathgodam.

The biggest feature of Bhimtal is that it is located in a beautiful valley and a blooming area. There is an island in the middle of this lake, there is an arrangement to reach the island by boat. This island is used as a picnic spot. Most of the tourists go to Bhimtal from Nainital in the morning. After reaching the island, have your favorite food and do boating in the open lake. The island has good quality restaurants. An aquarium has also been built on this island by the Fisheries Department of Uttar Pradesh. There is also a good facility for fishing here.

It is said that Pandu's son Bhima had created a huge lake here by digging the earth. By the way, there is a temple of Bhimeshwar Mahadev here. This is an ancient temple - probably Bhima's place or built-in memory of Bhima. But even today this temple is known and worshiped as the temple of Bhimeshwar Mahadev.

Sattal
Sattal, as the name suggests, is a group of seven lakes and is one of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand in December. Nainital
Nainital is a city and an important tourist destination in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state, India. It is also the headquarters of the district.
