Sharadiya Navratri is starting from 3 October 2024, which will conclude on 11 October on the Navami date. The nine-day Navratri festival is a festival of worship of Mother Durga. Devipatan Shaktipeeth is in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that the left shoulder of Mata Sati had fallen here. Some people say that the Patan cloth of Mata Sati had fallen here. An eternal flame is burning in this Shaktipeeth. It is believed that the eternal flame has been burning here continuously since Treta Yuga.

There is an ancient and famous temple of the goddess in Mirzapur, the nearest district of Varanasi. But it is believed that the goddess resides in physical form at this place.

Tarkulha Mata Temple of Gorakhpur
There is a miraculous temple of Mata in Gorakhpur district, which is known as Tarkulha Temple. It is believed that during the freedom struggle, whenever an Englishman passed by the temple of Maa, the revolutionary Bandhu Singh would cut off his head and dedicate it to Devi Maa. The English caught Bandhu Singh and hanged him publicly but every time the noose would break. This happened 6 times on which the executioner pleaded with Bandhu Singh that if he was not hanged, the English would kill the executioner. On this, Bandhu Singh prayed to the Maa and he was hanged on the 7th time.
