Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple, located about 34 km from the Coorg Hill Station, remains the center of tourist faith. Namdroling Monastery is considered to be the largest teaching center of schools related to Tibetan Buddhism. Located in Bylakuppe, the world's second-largest Tibetan settlement, this 3-story Buddhist temple is home to over 5000 monks and nuns and is dedicated to perpetuating the teachings of Lord Buddha. In this entire temple complex, many different types of mythological carvings and paintings can be seen on the walls of the building and the temple.
