The rainy season has arrived. After the scorching heat, the rain brought some relief to the people. In such a situation, people are now coming out of the house and going for a walk to enjoy the pleasant weather. This weather may be relieving from the heat but it can also become a cause of trouble for the people.

There was a sudden flood near Bhushi Dam in Lonavala, Maharashtra. At the time when the weather showed its wrath, 16 people of the same family had come here for a picnic. While having fun in the waterfall near Bhushi Dam, the flow of water suddenly increased and many people were swept away in the flood. In this incident, the bodies of three people have been recovered, while two children are still missing.

Such incidents are often heard in monsoon. Such accidents are more likely to happen in places with waterfalls, lakes, hilly areas and rivers. To avoid such accidents, if you are going to visit a hill station, waterfall or lake during monsoon, then pay special attention to some things.

If you are going to waterfalls, rivers and mountains during the rainy season, then keep these things in mind,

Flood
The water level in rivers and lakes starts increasing during monsoon. In such a situation, there can be a strong surge in the rivers. If you are going to celebrate holidays around rivers and lakes during this season, then be cautious about the rising water level. Keeping safety in mind, do not go too close to rivers and lakes.

Landslide

Adventure Activity
People go to do adventure activities from hill stations to beaches and around many rivers and lakes. But avoid adventure activities during monsoon. In this season, there can be a high risk of accidents due to many adventure sports like water sports, bungee jumping. Do not take any kind of risk.

Hotel
If you go to such places in monsoon, do not stay near the river or at the foot of the mountain. These places can be dangerous. In the rain, the river can flood or stones can fall from the mountain. Keep this in mind while choosing a hotel.

Selfie
Often when people go on a trip, they click pictures to create memories. With the advent of mobile phones, people start taking selfies anywhere, at any place. However, selfies become dangerous at some places. Do not forget your safety in the pursuit of selfies. Do not go under a waterfall, at the foot of a mountain, in the middle of lakes or rivers to take a selfie.
