The country's largest and most famous Gurudwara Harmandir Sahib is in Amritsar, Punjab, also known as the Golden Temple. It is considered to be the holiest pilgrimage site of Sikhism. Guru Arjan laid the foundation of this gurudwara in 1855 and the Adi Granth was kept here in 1604. To protect the gurudwara, Maharaja Ranjit Singh covered the outer part of the temple with a gold sheet. The holy lake, infinite peace, and langar service of the Golden Temple provide the devotees with a unique experience of spirituality.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is built in Connaught Place of the capital Delhi, which is a major pilgrimage site of the Sikh community. It was built in memory of Guru Harkrishna Ji, who sacrificed his life while serving the people during the epidemic in Delhi. The gurudwara has a golden dome. The water of the pond located in the courtyard of the gurudwara is considered as sacred as Amrit.

Gurudwara Patna Sahib
Gurudwara Patna Sahib is in Patna, the capital of Bihar. This Gurudwara is the birthplace of the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh. Patna Sahib is one of the five major Takhts of the Sikh community. Many memorable items of Guru Gobind Singh have been collected in this Gurudwara. Every year a large number of lakhs of devotees come here.

Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib
Rakabganj Sahib Gurudwara is built on Raisina Road in Delhi itself, which reminds us of the sacrifice of the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, Teg Bahadur. After the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur, his followers performed his last rites at this place. This Gurudwara has historical importance. This Gurudwara has also witnessed the Indian freedom struggle.

Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib
A popular Gurudwara at the height of the Himalayas in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Gurudwara Hemkund is considered to be the meditation place of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Built at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level, this Gurudwara gives a wonderful view of architecture. To reach this place, devotees have to undertake a difficult journey, after which they get a sacred and spiritual experience of darshan. The natural beauty, snow-capped mountains, and spiritual atmosphere here make it special.
