But it is often seen that people going to Himachal Pradesh for the first time are not aware of what things they might need in the mountains. If there is snow, then it becomes even more important to take special care of certain things.

Take polythene with you

If you are going to visit Himachal Pradesh in winter, then you are going to need a lot of polythene. This is because sometimes it rains here, so your clothes can get wet. You then face difficulty in keeping those clothes in the bag.

Also, if it is snowing, you will need even more polythene. While walking, snow will enter your shoes, due to which your socks will keep getting wet again and again. Therefore, first wear socks on your feet, then tie polythene over them and then wear your shoes over them.

Be sure to bring extra socks

If you don't carry extra socks, you will have to buy new socks from the mountains. This is because your socks will get wet due to snow and rain. In such a situation, when you buy socks from the mountains, they will be very expensive. Here you will get one sock for Rs 250 to 300. So you should take it with you.

Carry an umbrella

If you are going during the winter season, then do not forget to take an umbrella with you. When it snows, there will be an umbrella, which will protect your clothes from getting wet. If you think of buying an umbrella from the mountains only, you will find it very expensive there. You will get an umbrella for Rs 500.

Wear shoes like this

While going to the mountains, it is most important that you wear good shoes. Because roads become slippery in the snow. In such a situation you may get injured. Also, do not wear cloth shoes. These shoes will get wet in the snow. Due to this, you will have to face a lot of trouble.

Take things like this with you

If you are going to the mountains, take some food and drinks with you. Because even one Maggi will cost you quite expensive here. If you carry dry food items with you, you will not spend much on food and drinks. Apart from this, carry a hot water bottle, gloves and a hat with you. This will save you from the harsh cold of Himachal Pradesh.
