Ganga Aarti

Aarti is performed every evening at the ghat of the sacred waves of Ganga, which is known as Har Ki Pauri, which is dedicated to Ganga Maiya. Aarti of this holy place is performed by the priests with big lamps in their hands, seeing which it seems as if nature has illuminated the place with its light. The reflection of the diyas falling on the water looks like twinkling stars. The sweet sound of Mahaarati can be heard echoing throughout the ghat. Not only Indian tourists but foreign tourists also come in large numbers to witness this aarti.

Har Ki Pauri

Har Ki Pauri is one of the main places in Haridwar. Har Ki Pauri means - Lord's feet. It is believed that Lord Vishnu appeared here and there are also footprints of the Lord on a stone at Hari Ki Pauri. From this ghat, Ganga leaves the mountains and turns towards the plains. This ghat is the most crowded with devotees. Ganga Aarti is also organized daily at this ghat.

Parad Shivling

The Parad Shivling Harihar Ashram of Kankhal, located 2 km from Haridwar, is very famous. A 151 kg Shivling made of pure mercury has been established here. Lakhs of devotees come here every year. There is also a Rudraksha tree here which is the center of attraction among the devotees.

Chandi Devi Temple
This temple situated on Neel Parvat is dedicated to Chandi Devi. Situated at a high altitude, this temple is not only a center of worship but is also popular among travelers for trekking. The combination of devotion with beautiful natural scenery is amazing. This is also one of the five pilgrimage sites of Haridwar where devotees come with the desire to fulfill their wishes. Mansa Devi Temple

One can reach here from Haridwar by walking or can also reach through a ropeway.

Vaishno Devi Temple
This temple is a replica of the Vaishno Devi temple in Kashmir. There are three idols in the temple - Lakshmi, Kali, and Saraswati which are carved very finely. The temple is famous for its architecture and caves. Vishnu Ghat
One of the most famous ghats of Haridwar is Vishnu Ghat. It is believed that Lord Vishnu took a bath here and bathing here washes away all sins, that is why a large crowd of devotees is seen here.

Bharat Mata Mandir
Bharat Mata Mandir is also known as Mother India Mandir. This temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata and it is the only temple in the country where the idol of Bharat Mata is worshipped. This temple was built in 1983 by Swami Satyamitrananda and was inaugurated by Indira Gandhi. This temple is 108 feet high and has a total of 8 floors. Each floor has idols and photos of different gods and goddesses and freedom fighters.
