Kuntabhayo Lake
It is about 6 km from Rewalsar. The blue-green color of its water will surely pull you towards it. It is said about the lake that when mother Kunti was thirsty, the stream emanating from Arjuna's arrow quenched her thirst. Then that stream gradually took the form of a lake. It is a wonderful feeling to see this lake from close quarters. About a kilometer away from the lake, on a small hillock by the side of the road, there are caves, which are sacred places of meditation for Buddhist monks. Parashar Lake
Situated in the northeast direction at a distance of 49 kilometers from Mandi, this lake is dedicated to Parashar Rishi. It is believed that it originated from Parashara Rishi by hitting his gurja on the ground. As soon as Gurj reached inside the ground, a stream of water erupted and in no time this stream took the form of a lake. The presence of a circular plot floating in the middle of the lake adds to the beauty of the lake. A three-storied beautiful temple of Parashar Rishi is built along the lake. There is also a rest house here, where you can stop and enjoy these beautiful valleys.
Kamrunag Lake
This lake is 68 km from Mandi along the Mandi-Karsog road. The special thing about this lake is that people throw gold, silver, coins, and notes in it after fulfilling their vows and having a darshan of the deity. This practice has been there for centuries. From Rohanda on the Mandi-Karsog road, a beautiful lake is visible after a steep climb of 6 km. This lake is dedicated to the god Kamrunag. Dev Kamrunag is believed to have incarnated in the next birth as the mighty king Ratna Yaksha.
Sundernagar Lake
This is an artificial but very beautiful lake, which has been formed due to the water of river Beas brought by tunnel from Pandoh Dam built by BBMB Project. It has its charm. It is located at Sundernagar along Chandigarh-Manali National Highway-21 at a distance of 25 kilometers from Mandi. This lake produces 990 MW of electricity. Seeing this lake confined in a circle of two kilometers is like shedding the fatigue of the whole day.
