You all know that when Lord Ram was related to Mother Sita, something special happened in his Swayamvar. This work was nothing but breaking the bow. In this Swayamvar, Lord Ram broke the bow of Mahadev and registered his victory in SitaSwayamvar.
But do you know that when Shri Ram broke his bow, it broke into three parts, all three parts fell at different places, out of which one part fell at this place in Nepal.
The temple is famous by the name Dhanusha Dham
When Shri Ram broke the bow, a piece of the bow fell in Nepal. Therefore, a temple was built at the place where this piece fell. People know this temple by the name of Dhanusha Dham.
Where is the temple located?
This temple is situated at a distance of a few kilometres from Janakpur. People come here to worship the piece of Shiva's bow. The middle part of the bow had fallen in this temple. Here you will also see a DhanushKund. People believe that where part of the bow fell, a Peepal tree grew there.
People have different reverence for DhanushKund, it is believed that the shape of the water in the pond can be used to determine how the crop will be this time. Not only this, it is also believed that the central part of the bow located in the temple is increasing with time.
