A shocking and tragic incident has unfolded in Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh, where a 27-year-old woman named Manju Saket took her own life, leaving behind a haunting message about her brother-in-law's alleged abuse. The incident occurred in the Naigarhi police station area, where Manju’s body was found hanging from a noose in her home. The rest of the family had been working in the barn at the time of the incident, and it was only when Manju's brother-in-law and niece returned home that they discovered her lifeless body.
A suicide note was found written on Manju’s foot, in which she accused her brother-in-law, Ankush, of making lewd advances towards her. The note read, "Your brother is dirty, he is with me..." and detailed how Ankush had been harassing her with unwanted attention and threats. Manju had allegedly tried to resist his advances but was met with threats and quarrels whenever she did. She expressed in the note that she had been afraid to reveal the truth to her husband, fearing a violent confrontation, but felt compelled to share the details before her death.
In her final message to her husband, Manju wrote: "Ever since my mother left this world, I have considered you as my mother and father. You also love me a lot. But your brother Ankush is very dirty. He looks at me with dirty eyes. When I stop him from doing so, he quarrels. I thought many times to tell you everything, but I could not tell you. I was afraid that you might do something. I am leaving this world but do not leave Ankush. He is dirty."
Manju’s brother, Govind, has raised concerns that his sister’s death may not have been a suicide. He believes that she may have been murdered and then hanged to make it look like a suicide. He has made serious allegations against the family, including the mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law, urging the police to conduct a thorough and fair investigation.
The police are treating the case with suspicion, given the allegations of abuse and the injury marks found on Manju’s body. They are questioning the deceased’s husband, who is in a state of shock and grief over his wife’s sudden death.
