Amid India's Pulwama attack, there is a threat of cyber attacks on sensitive areas of Pakistan like defence, finance and media. The Pakistan government has issued an advisory and appealed to strengthen cyber security.

There is hardly any leader, department or area left in Pakistan that is not living in fear after the Pahalgam attack. India has vowed to take revenge for the Pahalgam attack, after which Pakistan, which fosters terrorism, is sure to be dealt a blow. India has already hurt Pakistan by suspending the Indus Treaty.
Apart from this, India has harmed Pakistan in many other ways, including expelling Pakistanis from the country, shutting down enemy country's YouTube channels. According to a report by Express News, Pakistan's National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) has warned of the growing threat of cyber attacks targeting the government and critical infrastructure, citing rising tensions in South and Central Asia.
Cyber attack will happen before the real attack!
Pakistan is afraid that India is not going to spare it this time. There is also a fear that India will hit it from all sides. On Monday, the government issued an advisory saying that hackers could take advantage of the current regional instability to launch cyber attacks against Pakistan. The advisory said, "Government institutions and sensitive infrastructure could be major targets for cyber attacks."
These areas are afraid
The agency has said that cyber attacks can target sectors such as defense, finance and media. The advisory states that attackers can use spear phishing, malware and deepfake tactics to break security systems. It also warned, "Hackers may try to steal confidential information and compromise the privacy of organizations." Officials have urged institutions to strengthen their cyber security defenses and be alert to potential threats.
