The wife along with her lover had murdered her husband and father-in-law, and had their bodies left on the highway; the court gave its verdict after eight years.

A Dehradun court sentenced a wife and her lover to life imprisonment for killing her husband and father-in-law in 2017 in connivance with her lover. A fine of Rs 55,000 each has also been imposed on both of them. The court has also ordered a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the son of the deceased Rajesh Rana. Deepika had carried out this murder in connivance with her lover.

The court of first additional session judge Mahesh Chandra Kaushiva has sentenced a woman and her lover, who got her husband and father-in-law killed in collusion with her lover, to rigorous life imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 55,000 each on both of them.

 

 

Also, orders have been given to give one lakh rupees as compensation to the son of the deceased Rajesh Rana. If the compensation amount is not paid, the District Magistrate has been asked to confiscate the property of the culprits and pay the money.

 

Government advocate Arvind Kapil said that on March 5, 2017, at 2 am, Doiwala police found two bodies wrapped in sheets and blankets in an abandoned Centro car near Kuanwala on the Haridwar highway. The documents recovered from the car revealed that the car was registered in the name of Deepika, wife of Rajesh Rana, who hails from Raipur area.

 

When Doiwala police contacted Raipur police station, it was found that Deepika had complained at 9 pm on Saturday night that her husband Rajesh Rana and father-in-law Prem Singh Rana had left for Bulandshahr and have not returned yet. Their mobile phones are ringing, but the phone is not being answered. When Rajesh Rana and Prem Singh's mobile numbers were put on surveillance, the last location of both was found to be in Mianwala.

 

When the police questioned Deepika on the basis of suspicion, she told that her husband Rajesh Rana had come to know about her relationship with Yogesh Arora, resident of Tapovan. So she along with her lover made a plan to get rid of her husband and father-in-law.

 

According to the plan, on March 4, 2017, Yogesh Arora entered the house from the back door. After this, he strangled Rajesh and Prem Singh in their bedroom and then stabbed them to death. The same night, he wrapped the bodies of both in a sheet and blanket and left them in the car near Kuanwala.

 

Both of them tried to set the car on fire by pouring petrol in it, but the fire was extinguished because the window was closed. During this Yogesh Arora's face also got burnt. The court convicted Deepika and Yogesh Arora in this case which went on for eight years and sentenced them.

 

Eight year old son became an eyewitness

On the night of the incident, when Deepika and Yogesh strangled Rajesh to death, Rajesh's father Prem Singh Rana got to know about it. Fearing getting caught, both of them brutally murdered Prem Singh Rana as well. The entire incident was witnessed by his eight-year-old son Nakul and he became an eyewitness in the case.

 

Rajesh had made his college friend his life partner

Prem Singh Rana, originally a resident of Sabdalpur village in the Narsena police station area of ​​Bulandshahr, built a house in Tapovan after getting a job in the Ordnance Factory. After his wife's death in 2000, he took care of the children and married off his three daughters.

 

When it came to son Rajesh's marriage, it was revealed that Rajesh liked his college friend Deepika, after which both the families agreed for the marriage. Deepika and Rajesh got married in the year 2007. In the year 2009, Deepika gave birth to a son.

 

In 2011, Deepika became close to Yogesh Arora who came to live in a rented house there. When Rajesh came to know about this, he tried to pacify Deepika a lot, but Deepika proposed divorce.
